Sunshine is a wonderful thing. People should be encourage to get out there and be active. The sun is an amazing source of you daily vitamin D. It also helps one feel energized and healthy; however there can be some negative aspects to being in the sun if we don't take certain percautions.
Recently I got a painful intense sunburn. I spent the day out in the pool and riding my motorcycle without any protection from the long term exposure. Many of us experience this but not all of us know how to manage a sunburn without using creams and ointments full of unhealthy chemicals that most of us cannot pronounce.
Although sunburns are common they can still be dangerous. Our first step is to try to avoid sunburns in the first place. Wearing protective head wear like a hat can help prevent sensitive areas like your scalp and facial area from getting burnt.
Also the regular in-take of Cocunut Oils, all natural organic cocunut oils helps the body protect itself from the over exposure of sun rays.
But, if like me, you often forget to take any procautions and just joyfully burst out into the warm sun rays and spend hours out there, you might be destined for a sunburn or two!

First in sunburn care is to strip down and get into the cool shower. If you are not one for cold water while trying to relax in the shower my advice to you would be to start with a semi-warm shower. Wash your hair or finish up the daily routine of your shower and then start to slowly turn back the hot water untill you are left with cool water that you have slowly aclimated your body to. This way there are no outbursts or tense muscles from rushing into cold water.
The cold water is extrememly important because not only does our body take in 2/3 of its water each day through the skin and this replenishes the moisture to the dried out burned area but it also cools the skin and allows a soothing relaxed feeling. This should be done at least a couple times a day when burned.

Next you can take a couple different approaches. One of my favorites for soothing a sunburn is the use of Aloe. Aloe can be a vital tool. It can also be extrememly cheap, especially if you have your own plant.
What you do after finding you do have an Aloe plant is cut a piece of and split ut open to find the cool aloe in the middle. This can be gently rubbed directly onto the burn.
If you do not have your very own Aloe plant than it is as easy as going to a market that carries Aloe in its least perverted form. Try to find an Aloe that does not have additives.

NOW if Aloe is not the easiest to come by or you need a quick relief without the trip to the store your answer is as easy as VINAGER
Many people may be surprised by this but vinegar has many health uses, including treating sunburns. You can use Red wine vinegar or even the simple white vinegar to treat your burning skin. My favorite way to use this simple rememdy is to put it into a spray bottle with even a little water and just spray it directly onto my skin. It does have a vinegar smell but it is fast and easy and not sticky and messy like Aloe can be.
Also, you can pour a cup or so of vinegar in your cool bath water and soak for a while.
I hope some of these basic heloful hints make managing a sunburn quick, easy and as painless as possible.
